Where Are Your Houses?
In London within travel zones 2 & 3. A journey into central London (Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden) takes on average between 20 and 30 minutes.
What Is The Minimum Stay?
You must stay for 4 weeks and payment for those weeks must be made in advance.
What If I Want To Prolong My Stay?
If you want to stay with us after your initial 4 weeks then contact us 7 days after your arrival in your accommodation. Casalondres can usually provide a discount to tenants who wish to stay longer.
Are Your Houses Suitable For Families & Children?
No. Our accommodation is designed for students coming to study or for young people coming to London to work or travel.
Can I invite my parents, sisters, brothers to stay with me for a few days?
In order to offer and ensure comfort for our tenants, we do not allow visitors to sleep in the same bedroom. However, we may occasionally be able to make exceptions to this rule. Please contact us for more information.
Can You Provide A Letter Of Accommodation For Visa Purposes Prior To Arrival?
Yes, once you have paid 4 weeks rent in advance.
Do You Offer An Airport Pick-Up Service To Your Accommodation?
Yes, we have a very good taxi company that works with us. Please contact us for more details.
How Do We Get To Your Accommodation?
Send us an e-mail before you leave giving us details of your flight number and expected time of arrival at the airport. Once you have gone through Check-out, ring us to confirm that you have arrived. Make your way to Manor House tube station (please see separate information sheet which details how you get from the airport to Manor House).
What Do I Do When I Get To Manor House?
Leave by exit 2 and then ring us. We will come and pick you up and take you to your accommodation.
Do You Provide bedding, towels and toiletries?
We provide bedding, but not towels or toiletries.
When Will I Get My Deposit Back?
A deposit of £170 must be paid and normally you will receive your full deposit back when you leave. However, we may be forced to retain all or part of your deposit if you infringe your Tenancy Agreement. Please see the Terms & Conditions of the Tenancy Agreement for full details.
Will The House I Live In Be Cleaned?
We provide a cleaning service free of charge. However, only communal areas will be cleaned and it is your responsibility to keep your own room clean and tidy.
Can I Cook & Wash My Clothes In The House?
Yes. All our houses have fitted kitchens with microwaves, ovens, cookers and toasters. All our houses are equipped with washing machines and dryers.
Are Your Houses Centrally Heated?
Yes. During winter the central heating is on for an average of 9 hours a day. In spring and summer the central heating is turned off.
Can I Have An En-Suite Bathroom?
No. We do not have en-suite bathrooms.
Can I Have A Single Room?
Demand for single rooms is high and they cost more. Please contact us for details of availability.
Who Will I Share My Room With?
If you have opted to stay in a twin room you will share with someone of the same sex.
Can I Lock My Bedroom?
Yes. All our rooms have secure locks and you will have the key.
What Furniture Will I Have In My Room?
You will have a bed with a good mattress, good quality furniture, a cabinet and a dresser. Some of our rooms have a desk and chair and a refrigerator.
Do Your Houses Have Internet?
Yes. All our houses have high-speed wireless and all our houses have a computer for communal use.
Do Your Houses Have Smoke Alarms & Fire Extinguishers?
All our houses are fitted with smoke alarms; all our houses have fire extinguishers
Will My Personal Belongings Be Insured By You?
No. If you want to insure your personal belongings you must do so before you arrive. We cannot take responsibility for the loss or damage of your personal property.
Do I Need Heath Insurance?
It is your choice, however if you come and stay in one of our houses on a student visa or if you are from inside the EU you will be entitled to register with a doctor (GP) and you will be entitled to free medical care and hospital treatment.
What Happens If My Visa Is Refused or I Am Not Allowed Entry Into The UK?
As you will have paid 4 weeks rent in advance we will retain one weeks’ rent and the Accommodation Fee (£50) to cover our costs and the remainder of the money (3 weeks rent) will be returned to you.
Can I Smoke Inside The House?
Absolutely not. It is strictly forbidden to smoke or take illegal drugs inside any Casalondres property. If a tenant is caught breaking this rule they will be asked to leave immediately and they will lose their deposit.
What Is The Minimum Notice Of Departure That I Must Give?
You must give Casalondres 4 weeks’ notice before you leave. Failure to do so will mean that you lose your entire deposit.
